This case study documents the management practices of a unique
tea estate
located in Darjeeling, India that has more land under
forest than tea. Several
community based initiatives have been
undertaken , along with biodynamic
methods of growing tea and
the management believes that it is these practices
that contribute to
producing the special organic tea of Makaibari.
The research
